| Her studies and her way are characterized by a strong curiosity about human nature.
She pursues her ideal of painting, seizing her masters in the past ideals and creating nuanced compositions in which predominates the human figure, emphasizing the harmony, the reflection of divine beauty but also the painful abyss,the depths tormentings, the unresolved conflicts. Naturally inclined toward the charcoal, which she appreciates the elegance of black and white that recalls the classical Hollywood masterpieces, omnivorous reader with a passion for cinema and music,she conveys her dream world in painting,causing in the observer an impression of purity,innocence, serenity and detachment from earthly things. Her training is also influenced by many trips abroad,for the discovery of Sweden and Norway, land of dream,painted by Nature with soft colors. Crucial for her personal journey has been the meeting with Folon, which occurred at the seminar "Growing up in communication", in which the famous painter was a guest and a speaker. The human body,and mainly the face,are the object of her inquiry,based on the experience of the great portrait painters.Her current research focuses on the interaction body-face.
She's now working on large sizes, to get a wider range and greater freedom and spontaneity of gesture and signs,and she experiences new materials and new techniques, to obtain original and expressive solutions.

| Maria Giovanna Zurla,subsequently her studies at University about philosophy,is now enrolled in the second year of painting at Brera Academy,after having followed courses in painting with the artist Scrocchi at the institute Gazzola of Piacenza,and in design and illustration at the ADT Institute of Milan.She has done some exhibitions, particularly one at the Brera Academy to celebrate the wine Leute and one at Siotto Palace, in Sarroch,named "Stories of art";she was semi-finalist at the 'International Competition for Artists 2009 " ,oganized by X-Power Gallery, Rodeo Drive California,and she has been selected, the only one Italian chosen, for the 20th Annual High Desert Rendezvous, Bend, Oregon. |
| I started to draw when I was a child and I understood it was a way to create a magic world and gave me the power of a God.
I got appreciations at a tender age, including also a letter of congratulations by the famous italian stylist Enrico Coveri,but I continued not for vanity but because it was inevitable,just like to use eyes or hands. I was not interested in landscapes,but in human being and faces.In fact later, driven mainly by my strong curiosity towards human nature,I was recorded in philosophy at the University of Milan, taken up ethics .
I am perfectionist,headstrong,I can't accept to see my freedom limited by something which is not my will,I want to be completely free.
I love Heavy Metal.
I get a great satisfaction also doing my best for the triumph of Good in every situation. |
